예수 십자가 죽음의 의미

눅 23: 46

 

사랑하는 코넬한인교회 성도 여러분! 오늘은 예수님께서 이천 년 전에 십자가에서 죽으신 날입니다. 우리를 죄에서 구원하신 예수님의 죽으심을 생각하고 감사의 예배를 드립니다.

 

그런데 올해는 코로나19바이러스로 인해 함께 모일 수 없어, 집에서 가정예배를 드리게 됩니다. 특별히 예수님의 십자가의 죽음에 대한 의미들을 살펴 보려고 합니다.

 

로마 군인들은 예수님을 십자가에 못 박고, 창으로 예수님의 몸을 찔렀습니다. 예수님은 몸에서 물과 피를 다 쏟으셨고 완전한 육체의 죽음을 경험하셨습니다.  

 

예수님은 자신이 죄를 지었거나 죄 때문에 죽은 것이 아닙니다. 우리의 죄 때문에 죽으셨습니다. 그러므로 예수님의 죽음은 우리가 죄인임을 말해 줍니다.

 

죄는 사망이라는 벌을 받아야 합니다. 사망은 우리가 죽음 이후 영원히 지옥에 가는 것입니다. 이 고통이 얼마나 큰 가를 아시기에 우리를 위해 대신 죽으셨습니다.

 

이것을 믿는 자는 영원한 사망이 없이 하나님과 영생을 누리는 구원을 얻게 됩니다. 그러므로 예수님의 죽음은 대속의 죽음이요, 얼마나 우리를 사랑하는 지를 보여줍니다.

 

예수님의 십자가의 죽음은 죽음으로 끝나지 않았습니다. 무덤은 있지만 시체를 발견하지 못했습니다. 그러므로 예수님의 죽음은 우리에게 부활의 믿음을 주신 사건입니다.

 

우리는 이제 예수를 알지 못하는 모든 이 세상 사람들에게 가서, 이 좋은 소식을 선포하라는 명령을 받았습니다. 내 가족들에게 먼저 예수를 전하기 바랍니다.

 

이 기쁨과 감격을 예수를 알지 못하는 사람들의 심장 속에도 느끼게 해야 합니다. 그래야 이 세상을 사랑하셔서 피 흘려 죽으신 십자가의 죽음이 헛되지 않기 때문입니다.

 

오늘은 예수님이 십자가에서 우리 죄를 위해 죽으신 날을 기념하며 예배를 드리는 날입니다. 이것만으로 끝내지 말고 새로운 사명으로 전도하는 여러분이 되시기 바랍니다. 아멘.

 

  

The Meaning of Jesus’s Death on the Cross

Lk. 23:46

 

Today is the day that Jesus died on the cross 2000 years ago. We think about the death of Jesus who saved us from our sins and we give thanks and worship him.

 

However, this year we cannot gather together because of COVID 19 so we are having worship at home. Today we are going to look at the meaning behind Jesus’ death on the cross.

 

The Roman soldiers crucified Jesus on the cross and pierced him with a spear. Jesus died the ultimate death as all the blood and water bled out from his body.

 

Jesus was without sin and he did not die because of his own sin. Instead, he died for our sins. Therefore, His death tells us that we are sinners.

 

Sin must be punished with death. Death means that we are destined for hell after we die. Jesus knew how great this pain was and so he died instead of us.

 

Those who believe in this will not perish but will receive salvation to live with God forever. Therefore Jesus’ death is a substitution and it demonstrates how much he loves us.

 

However, His dying on the cross does not end with His death. His tomb was there but there was no corpse to be found. Jesus’ death gives us faith for resurrection.

 

Now, we are commanded to go to the ends of the world to proclaim this good news to those who do not know Jesus. Let us begin by talking about Jesus with our families.

 

This joy and emotion must be felt in the hearts of those who do not know Jesus so that the death of Jesus on the cross, who died of blood and loved this world, would not have been done in vain.

 

It is today that we celebrate and remember his death for our sins on the cross. I hope that it doesn’t just stop here, but that we might become people who carry this new commitment to evangelize to others. Amen.
